Colonel David P. Tikoian, Chief of the North Providence Police Department is encouraging all town residents and business owners, if you have not done so already, to sign up for the Code RED Emergency Notification System.
Town of North Providence public safety officials have the ability to notify residents and business owners, via home phone, cell phone and email of:
Community Announcements
Emergency notifications
Severe weather warnings
Parking Bans
Registered Sex Offender Notifications
Missing Persons, etc.
Registering with Code RED provides emergency notification in “Real Time” keeping you and your family informed of important community notifications. If you have previously registered with Code Red, please ensure your contact information, (cell phone, home phone and email address), is up to date and accurate. Currently in the Town of North Providence, there are 18,000 landline phone numbers and 410 email/cell phone accounts registered with Code RED.
Your participation in this Emergency Notification system will provide a direct conduit between public safety officials and the community, keeping all stakeholders informed.
